Our View
The first thing that hits you is the 'white-ness': white-washed,
rough-hewn walls, draped with white linen. It makes rooms here feel
almost dream-like, with an authentic rustic air, warm and welcoming
with cosy, candlelit alcoves. Don't be fooled though: it's run by
slick, professional hoteliers, so everything is perfect. Our
favourite room is Suite Torre, with its huge terrace and lovely
views of the golf course and Adriatic. The farmhouse cooking uses
wonderful local produce, mostly grown on the estate (including
excellent wine!), and don't miss the locally grown olive oil. Bring
your clubs too: rates include access to the neighbouring San
Domenico golf course.

picturesque contrast against the vibrant green of the fairways, the
15 rooms are oases of calm, thanks to their white interiors. Each
is furnished in a contemporary, yet deeply comfortable fashion,
with stylish touches - don't be surprised to find niches filled
with candles, travertine stone basins in the bathrooms and beds
draped with creamy muslin. And every room is an individual
creation, with some boasting gorgeous fireplaces; others have
balconies with views over the pristine pool or across the links to
the ocean. But it's at night that the real magic and romance of
Masseria Cimino comes alive, with divine Italian cuisine served in
the beautiful, white-washed dining room, its rough-hewn walls
flickering with candlelight.
