Savelletri di Fasano
Journey Time: A 1 hour, 10 minute drive from Lecce to Fasano
Explore the enchanting villages of Polignano a Mare, Cisternino and Locorotondo (or Alberobello)
The tiny town of Polignano is a great day out, offering stunning coastline and charming white-washed streets. Enjoy a stroll through the town and a coffee in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II.
Cisternino - a fun foody experience here is visiting one of the famous barbecuing butchers! Pop inside one, choose the cut or pre-prepared delicacy, then grab a seat outside with your carafe of wine while the butcher cooks your food!
Locorotondo is one of Puglia's prettiest towns. Easily-walkable, stunning panoramic views, no major tourist attractions to be seen here - all is very calm and laid back. It's a place to easily get lost in for a few hours. Locorotondo's sparkling white wine is famous in Italy so sit back, relax and enjoy a glass here.
The trulli of Alberobello have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996. The trulli lined streets are pretty much the reason you come here. Quite touristy but has to be seen to be believed!
Stay: Masseria Torre Maizza (3 nights) or Masseria Torre Coccaro (3 nights)
Masseria Torre Maizza
On the outside, Masseria Torre Maizza’s white-washed 15th century farmhouse may remain true to the region; but its interiors and amenities definitely lean more towards the modern.
