Stay: Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires (3 nights)
Argentina's capital comprises 48 barrios (neighbourhoods), and each has their own distinct flavour. San Telmo – one of the city's oldest – has a vibrant tango and arts scene, antique markets and candlelit streets. Recoleta is the most refined, its tree-lined avenues playing host to fashionable restaurants, cafés, boutiques, malls and galleries; its parks and plazas to street performances, art exhibits and craft fairs. One of our favourite barrios for walking (and home to many of the city's main attractions) is Retiro; whilst Palermo Soho is young, creative, chic, and littered with cool boutiques and cafés.
